I'm taking a bold step and asking for help. This is difficult for me.
My daughter Anna is facing an incredibly courageous battle with a medical situation that requires radical open surgery, and I am proud of her
remarkable strength and determination.
Having already undergone the removal of her gallbladder and a bile duct stricture, Anna’s condition is still complicated by unexplained inflammation, which has persisted in the bile duct stricture. Her biopsy results, which indicated the presence of atypical cells but cannot rule out adenocarcinoma. Anna's uncertain biopsy results - atypical cells vs adenocarcinoma - have been best regarded as adenocarcinoma thanks to the guidance of four expert pathologists, including three from Michigan University. Of course prayers for a benign result. Now, Anna's best option is a Whipple procedure (April 11) to which will require a 7-day to 3 week hospital stay (determined by pancreatic leakage) and a 6-10 week recovery.
During this time, she'll be unable to work, but with our collective support, we can help her overcome this challenge and emerge even stronger. We're asking for a small financial blessing and a large amount of prayers to help Anna stay focused on her recovery until she can return to work. Every contribution, no matter how small, will be a testament to the power of community and compassion. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.I
