Hello there. My name is Carlos Perez and I am starting this GoFundMe page in honor of my beloved, Ann Morea, and our family (Gaby - 21, Becca - 18, and Javi - 6)

On September 6th, Ann was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor. To say that we were taken by surprise with this news is an understatement. Within 2 days, she was admitted to Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston where we were told she would need major brain surgery to remove a Glioblastoma from the right side of her brain.

After nine days of steroid treatments, she was stable enough to undergo tumor resection surgery and thankfully made it through without complications. However, the road to recovery was marred by an adverse reaction to an anti-seizure medication. Ann suffered for just over 2 weeks, but soon reconnected with her Light and was able to start the next leg of her recovery at our cabin in the woods in Meredith, NH.

Once settled, we started to see drastic improvements in her recovery. It started to feel like we were gaining traction and making progress. Each day gifted our family with time to share and create beautiful memories together.

Despite the gains made, we could see that her fatigue and discomforts were starting to become more frequent and required more time to recover.

Then, on November 18th, we experienced a scare when she started to show many symptoms that paralleled the beginning of this journey and before we knew it, we were back at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where we were told that her tumor had grown back to almost 97% the size of what it had been in September.

Yet now, the situation was more unsettling as the tumor's position was compromising the flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and creating new levels of potential danger to her brainstem.

So here we are, 3 weeks out before she can even begin chemotherapy and radiation treatments. We are hopeful that her current steroid treatments can continue to help manage the swelling caused by the tumor, but the growth of her tumor continues, leaving us worried and terrified about what may happen over time.

This journey has created infinite changes in our lives and to this day, I have been unable to work and provide for my family. Even though Ann has insurance, it is barely covering expenses so far and I don't know how we will be able to see things through financially.

We are hopeful that our community can come together and help donate to this cause and share this page with as many people as possible to help ease the burdens we have faced so far and will continue to experience in the near future.

All funds that are raised will go towards medical expenses that we have incurred so far and will continue to have with her upcoming treatments of chemotherapy and radiation, as well providing anything essential we need to support Ann during this time.

Ann is such a special person to all of us, and we want to be able to provide her all that she needs so she can feel nurtured, nourished, and supported in every way possible. She is an amazing, vibrant mother of 3 wonderful children and each of us want to provide her with as much love, happiness and peace during the journey that lies ahead.

May we all continue to wrap her in our prayers, intentions, love, strength, and healing energy.
