Donate to Ana Muniz's Cancer Battle

Hello, my name is Christina. I am the daughter of Ana Muniz. I am saddened to be creating a GoFundMe for my mother’s medical expenses. She is going into surgery on August 7th to remove 50% of vaginal cancer.

My mother has been in pain for years due to a back situation that was never properly fixed due to our financial situation and not being able to cover the cost. She fought through all the pain even after being denied Medicaid, even though she is unable to work and cannot lift more than 10 lbs. Three years back, they discovered ovarian cancer, but then they said the tests came back all good. We were excited to get good news; it was a relief. A year ago, they let her know the ovarian cancer was there and they had to remove it. She went into surgery, and the good news came back that everything looked good and she was in the clear.

But yesterday, as she went into an appointment with hope, she got the worst news ever that the cancer was now vaginal cancer and she will have to remove 50% as soon as possible. My dad has given up a lot; he is the only one working and he is overloaded with medical bills that seem like an ongoing race. I am asking for help. We are not the type of people to ever do that, but I am not scared to say I need to help her. My mother is my rock and I will do anything it takes to have her happy and healthy. Not being able to do that is killing me, so please, I am asking for any help—5 cents, a dollar, anything that helps her get closer to surgery will be amazing, even a shared post.
