Hi friends. One of our own, Amy Parker, is in need of prayer and financial assistance for her medical expenses. As many of you know, Amy is raising her Grandson, Malachy. Malachy is Autistic/ nonverbal and depends on his Yaya. She is his person. His safe place. That's why we need to come together and make sure Amy gets the tests and treatments she needs, which include: biopsies, scans and treatment.

A little over a week ago, Amy noticed her eye was drooping and she was feeling weak. She managed to take herself to the Emergency Room. She still remains in the hospital today. While doing a scan for her eye, they decided she needed to undergo a surgery for a known health issue. After that surgery, and with the previous scan not being conclusive as to the cause of the eye drooping, the Doctor decided to repeat the Scans and do additional scans.

This is when the Doctors found an unknown issue: a 5cm-6.3cm mass in Amy's lung. Preliminary biopsies have shown it to be Cancerous and her Lymphnodes in the area are enlarged as well.

Further biopsies for Type and Staging need to be done. While Amy has been with her company 9 yrs, unfortunately does not have health insurance offered. There is a program at MD Anderson that Amy may qualify for, however, she needs a clear Diagnosis before MD Anderson will even consider her application. These additional Biopsies and scans are of upmost importance and needed quickly. The longer this mass goes untreated, the worse the Prognosis. As of now, the Mass has not spread and is isolated to her lung.

If you are financially able, I implore you to help Amy. She gives so much of herself raising Malachy. It's time for Amy to be cared for herself.
