Donate to Amy Ward's Medical and Living Expenses

Hey everyone, my name is Sandy Smith and I am creating this GoFundMe for my 1st cousin, Amy Ward. Amy is a strong woman who has been taking care of her husband, who is unable to work. He can’t walk more than a few feet at a time. For the past 5-plus years, Amy has had to do most everything for Earl. For about a month and a half now, give or take, she has been battling with a sinus infection (so we thought)! She has been unable to sleep for more than 2-3 hours a night since all of this started. Yet she still managed to take care of Earl’s needs and hold down a job at Wal-Mart. She was at work on June 30th and noticed a knot in her throat. She went to the ER and was told she has a mass on her larynx. They sent her to the ENT, and they agreed with the previous diagnosis and got her in with a doctor in Birmingham. When she arrived in B’ham, they told her she does have a mass on her larynx, but it was larger than they had originally said. They are 99% sure it is cancer. She wasn’t expecting what happened next at all. They admitted her in B’ham today, and they put the trach in and did the biopsy! She is facing chemo and a big surgery to remove the mass. Amy is the only one that has been working, and now she doesn’t know just how long she won’t be able to. THAT IS WHERE ALL OF YOU COME IN! We are going to be going back and forth to B’ham, have to have hotel rooms (sometimes), food, and all the while the bills at home are continuing to roll in monthly! We ask that you first of all PRAY FOR AMY & EARL! Next, if you feel led to help with a donation, I PROMISE IT WILL GO TOWARDS THEIR BILLS, gas, food, and other needs they have that are coming up! We do not know the future, BUT WE KNOW WHO HOLDS THE FUTURE! We know GOD HAS AMY AND WILL MAKE A WAY! If you can’t donate money, please share this with your friends and family—maybe they can help! No amount of donation is too small! We do not know what all she is facing exactly, but we do know she will have to make several trips to and from B’ham! As I mentioned before, all their bills aren’t going to stop just because Amy got sick! So basically, Amy & Earl’s world has been turned upside down in just 3 1/2 days!
