Help Amber's Adaptive Mountain Bike Journey

Hello, my name is Amber Justice, and I am trying to raise funds to help with the purchase of an adaptive mountain bike.

In 1992, I was accidentally shot in the chest when I was 11 by my younger brother. This left me paralyzed from the chest down. I have overcome many obstacles in my life, from having had many surgeries to just overcoming how some people perceive me and my situation.

Now at the age of 43, I have a beautiful family, including a three-year-old daughter and another on the way. As I watch my children grow, I find myself watching her start to ride her own bicycle and think back to the time when I was able to ride my bicycles off-road and how much I want to be able to do that again. I want to be able to ride with my family in and around our neighborhood. I want to be able to reach inaccessible areas that I haven't been to in years and to be the one to show those areas to my family.

Adaptive sports equipment for disabled persons is extremely expensive, and for someone like me, who is a stay-at-home mom, it is completely out of reach except for grants or fundraising. I have a grant for part of the expense, but the remaining expense is just too far out of reach.

I am hoping this will reach a wider audience and inspire people to believe in what I am trying to do, to make a wish come true, and maybe donate to someone they don’t know, but might find inspiring.
