Amber Rae's Healing Journey

Hello. I'm amber rae. I've had a long battle with illness and disability. I got sick may of 2012 with lyme disease and other co infections of lyme. It affected most of my body. I've been in remission since 2020 from the lyme disease, but it caused a lot of damage. I am batteling a neurological condition called functional nerve disorder also known as conversion disorder. Along with FND I have chronic pain, seizures, and chronic fatigue syndrome. I am about 85 % bed ridden due to symptoms, and physical deconditioning. I deal with many symptoms every day from this illness, such as debilitating headaches, weakness of the limbs, painful spasms and tremors, chronic fatigue, immense nerve pain that affects my whole body, disassociative episodes/seizures and unsteady gait.

I am often bed ridden or in a wheelchair due to not being able to walk well or being a fall risk. I also suffer from non epileptic seizures and sleep attacks. I do have issues with speech/motor skills and hand/eye coordination. I suffer from many mental health issues due to my physical health such as panic disorder with agoraphobia and other phobias as well as arfid (avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) this causes me to be malnourished/weak and chronically fatigued. I have 3 appts in Fargo in August and then hopefully i will go to university of Michigan or another hospital that accepts me into there FND program for an extended stay to receive treatment/therapy. I've been fighting this battle for a long time and as of now I'm not doing well, so I need to go for some extra medical help and support!

Normally to raise money I do an adult prom or I sell my art and things like that but I've been bed ridden for over 11 weeks this flare up and haven't been able to work much at all. I don't have energy to do a benefit like that this time so I am asking people to donate if they can. Even just a few bucks will help me get closer to my goal! If I have extra left from this fundraiser I would love to gift it to another person in need! I also use PayPal and cashapp for donations.
