Help Support Amanda's Medical Recovery

I'm hoping to raise some funds for my friend Amanda, who has been dealing with compounding medical issues that have affected their ability to work and, as such, their income.

These medical issues started in the springtime of 2024 when they were hospitalized three different times for several overlapping degenerative spinal issues, which have caused debilitating chronic pain. Because of these spinal issues, they've had to drastically change their working hours as a hairstylist, as well as take a break from school due to the pain in their back and legs. By the end of 2024, they had used up the rest of their savings and have been living off of credit cards. All in all, they lost a third of their income, which turned into debt. Even after financial aid from the hospital, they are still facing large medical bills from those hospitalizations.

This past month, they recently had to spend yet another extended time away from work receiving medical care. In March, they spent two consecutive weeks in the hospital, resulting in more lost wages and more large medical bills. This came on the heels of a bout of norovirus, effectively keeping them down for another full week (when it rains, it pours). They have never been late on bills, and now they are late on everything that they currently pay for. I know, like so many of us, they have a hard time asking for help, so I'm doing so for them.
