Alvie Ward Jr. has been a good friend of mine for over 40 years. He has raised children and enjoyed life while having a very close relationship with God over the years.

His friends and family have witnessed him speaking at churches, funerals, and weddings. He has always been the one wishing well to others, especially in their time of need. Now it's Alvie's turn to receive some well-wishes.

On October 20th, on his way to work, Alvie had severe chest, arm, and neck pain. He was hoping it would pass, but after it became unbearable, he went to the ER. He was told the news that no one wants to hear. He was having a heart attack. Four days later, he was having open-heart surgery to repair the main artery that supplies the heart with blood.

Thankfully, his surgery was a success! Now comes the healing. Alvie will miss weeks of work, which will definitely be a setback for him and his family.
