Allison’s life changed forever after being blessed with a baby boy a just few short years after losing her father. Allie’s fight for fertility has been over a decade long but she NEVER once gave up on her dream of being a mother. She went through IVF treatments while simultaneously completing her advanced degree as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She is calm, loving and persistent. Her tenacity to never give up gave her the beautiful baby boy she dreamed of and achieve her professional goals.

Unfortunately, 4 weeks after giving birth she received the devasting news of a Stage IV Renal Cell Carcinoma diagnosis, a rare and aggressive type of cancer that is difficult to manage.

Postpartum barely set in and she was challenged with a battle for her life. She has done so well and has remained positive throughout the last 18 months but recently received more troubling news indicating that her disease is spreading.

Allie deserves a long beautiful life with her family and friends but especially the gift of motherhood. Our goal is to raise $100,000 for Johnny’ Mom (Allie)

After many months of immunotherapy with so much success, I’m discouraged to report that a recent MRI revealed multiple new tumors growing on my spine.

This news has been exceptionally difficult to digest, because I have been reporting pain in my back for several months but my treatment team reassured me that my scans were stable.

Healing isn’t a linear journey and twists and turns are always to be expected. At this turning point in my journey, I understand even further the undeniable urgency for more individualized and comprehensive care that every patient with cancer deserves. This kind of care involves more time for research and appointments which will require more child care, more travel costs, more extensive lab testing, more integrative treatments, supplements, safer pain management options, and closer additional monitoring. This kind of care is not supported by our current medical model and most of it is not covered by health insurance.

While I’ve known this for many years as a professional, it’s disheartening to confirm as a patient that our current health care system does not properly support so many modalities of healing, monitoring and pain relief; making cancer survival an exceedingly difficult and expensive challenge.

I am so grateful for everyone’s love and support along the way and my family humbly thanks you in advance from the bottom of hearts. Every donation, no matter the size, will help support me in my healing so that I can continue to learn, love and experience the joy of this beautiful life with my family.
