My close friend works long hours to support herself and her kids, some of whom have disabilities. In the past couple of months, circumstances have collided so she finds herself short of paying the month's rent, phone, electric, internet, and such, also having just paid to have the A/C fixed, which is a necessity where they live. I know my friend very well -- she almost never will spend on herself, always cares for her kids whole-heartedly. I also admire her business and budgeting skills -- this is just a tough year.
