** NEW INFORMATION AT BOTTOM **

My name is Aliana. I am the mother to a high-needs autistic son. And I have stage IV cancer.

About 8 years ago, I was told by multiple doctors that I had an “unusually formed tendonitis.” This almond-sized lump was, in fact, a misdiagnosed epithelioid sarcoma. I just received an official diagnosis – now that my tumor is about the size of a lemon.

My health has been declining for multiple years now. I can no longer bathe myself, cook for myself, get dressed, or even open a drink bottle.

I am asking for help for myself, and my family. My husband was fired from his job for being absent too many times because of my poor health and many appointments.

We are struggling with basic needs which consist of gas for the over 4-hour round trip back and forth to my appointments in Denver, lodging for while we are out of town for longer appointments/procedures, and childcare.

Any donation or the reposting/sharing of my GoFundMe would mean the world to our family!

Thank you.

**UPDATE**

My cancer is too aggressive and is, therefore, no longer responding to chemotherapy. In addition, I was never able to receive radiation because the kind of cancer I have is not responsive to radiation.

I have now developed a large and rapidly growing tumor in my spinal column which has caused excruciating pain and permanent paralysis from the chest down. I am losing function in my arms and hands and have been told that I will lose function of my diaphragm.

New scans have shown that the cancer has metastasized throughout my body.

As soon as I found out about my current prognosis, I felt that it was very important that I get married as soon as possible and wanted, more than anything, to see my son at the altar. The entire community very quickly came together and I just had a very beautiful wedding at the hospital.

All this has culminated in my needing to go into a hospice center in Denver, while my family remains in Pueblo. Although this will be difficult because of travel and many other expenses, the positive is that I will be able to see my son more often since children are allowed to visit anytime and can even spend the night!

We need financial assistance to be able to afford gas, food, current and unpaid bills, and with final expenses.

Please help, and thank you so much!
