Hi, my name is Aleyah Fernandez. On October 8th, my life took an unexpected turn when I was caught in a crossfire from gang violence and was shot. This incident has left me hospitalized and now in a rehab facility, focusing on recovery.

The road ahead includes adapting to new challenges, such as finding a wheelchair-accessible apartment to live in by December 30th. I'm currently unable to work, which makes covering rent and the costs for necessary supplies extremely difficult.
