Were you ever told sit up or stand straight? What if you couldn't? EVER. Seven year-old Alex, Sandston VA, bless his cheerful soul, has a serious spinal condition as you can see in the x-ray. He will only ever be able to do normal things after an incredibly complex series of surgeries (including his first last week at inova children’s hospital) due to Severe Infantile Idiopathic Scoliosis. How on earth does this little fella remain upbeat? Maybe it's his 1 year old twin brother and sister ❤️ Their mother, Karleigh Kichta needs our help but would never, ever ask even after seven years of countless therapies in this area, north to Fairfax, south to Virginia Beach. Imagine the overwhelming costs beyond medical: missed work/income, care for the twins, travel, meals, etc etc. Now - imagine this is the first surgery of many, continuing until he is 17.
