Alexander's Fight to Keep His Family Afloat

Hello, my name is Alexander. To be honest, I am not even certain where to begin (I would never think to do this if not for a friend). I am recently on FMLA due to a necessary surgery to repair my shoulder. I had two major tears in my shoulder which, if not repaired, could cause major nerve damage as well as loss of use of my arm in the future. My HSA (Health Savings Account) is empty due to my current medical bills, as I am currently paying off an emergency appendectomy from two years ago. It was either I get the surgery, or I would not be here today.

A week after my shoulder surgery, my cat, who is only a year old, needed to be whisked off to emergency care due to a urinary blockage. He is currently receiving emergency medical care which has cleaned my bank account out nearly to $0.00. I do have assistance paying for his medical care (thank goodness, I wanted to be completely clear about that); UPDATE: My cat did return home and is currently being monitored, we hope and pray he doesn't block again. I am struggling to manage all of my medical bills, feed my family, and provide the prescription diet my cat now requires. I was told that the prescription diet was the best thing to prevent this from happening again, outside of a major surgery. I don't want to give up my cuddly little floof or deny him the care he so desperately needs.

I really don't expect that this will come to much. I know that everyone is struggling. I think my story is just one of thousands. Inflation is no joke! This is my last hope really to try and support my family as I am not able to work right now (I am typing this one-handed) due to medical leave. I am just trying to recoup the losses of my savings and what had been in my account so I can purchase groceries, purchase the prescription diet cat food, and at least get my bills back in better standing. If you feel you could maybe spare even a dollar, that means the world to me.

UPDATE: My spouse was terminated from their employment this morning. I am not sure what I am going to do to keep my family afloat anymore. I am still on medical leave and, trying to recover from surgery. I am not able to work at this time and, I am not receiving my full paycheck at this time due to FMLA. I feel like I am on the verge of a mental breakdown and my entire world is crashing down around me.

I don't know how I am going to manage paying my medical bills, pay for rent, groceries, my baby kitty's prescription diet which is the only thing which will keep him healthy. I don't know what to do anymore. I am terrified. I can't expect much, I wish that I could just win the lottery. (I am sobbing as I am typing this.)

I am hoping to raise enough so funds will go toward paying for my cat's prescription diet (which is over $100 per order and he is running out of food.) I will also use the funds to pay for groceries so my family will be able to eat. Whatever is left would go toward paying my medical bills. It is more important that my cats and my family eat.

I am deeply appreciative that you have taken the time to read this. I know that things are rough for everyone. I am currently facing over $6,000+ in medical bills, $200+ a month for my cat's care, $250 for my medications, $300+ for groceries, $200+ for other necessary expenses (like toilet paper) and, $650 for rent. At this point I am honestly worth more dead than alive. I am sorry to bother everyone, I am aware that so many of you will just ignore this.

But for those who share and donate, you are truly angels. I am trying so hard to keep things afloat and I am just sinking...Thank you for your time. I appreciate you reading this and humbly ask if you could spare even a dollar to help my family, you are truly amazing.
