Hi, my name is Leialoha (Aloha) Lawler, and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend, Alex Reeder. If you know Alex, you know he’s the kind of person who shows up — always ready to lend a hand, offer support, or simply brighten your day. Now, Alex needs us more than ever.

Alex is courageously battling kidney failure, a serious and life-altering genetic disease. He currently undergoes dialysis three times a week, a process that not only takes a physical toll but also severely limits his ability to work. As a self-employed individual, Alex doesn’t have the luxury of paid leave or employer-covered medical insurance. The financial strain of ongoing treatments, medications, lab work, and transportation is growing — and it’s all just to keep him alive while he waits for a donor match.

Despite the pain and the obstacles, Alex continues to face each day with determination and grace. But even the strongest among us sometimes need help.
