Hello everyone! I’m setting this gofundme up for my sister in law and nephew. Alec is 5 years old and recently had to have major surgery to have a tumor removed on his left kidney. The doctors removed the kidney and the Wilms tumor was 11cm. The tumor was discovered at a routine well check appointment. Alec spent a week at Rochester Golisano Children’s hospital. My sister is preparing for lost income from her job to support Alec through all chemotherapy and any emergency visit that may take place in between. He will have weekly treatments in Rochester and will need a lot of home care from mom. There has been a lot of outreach from the community including Alec’s teachers and family friends. The family is grateful for any donations or help in anyway while they navigate the process of Alec’s treatments.
