My heart is shattered as I write these words. My husband, Alberto Vargas, the love of my life and the center of our family, passed away after fighting cancer with every ounce of strength he had. No words can describe the ache of losing him, or the empty space he leaves behind in our home, our routines, and our hearts.

Alberto Vargas wasn’t just my partner — he was my best friend, my safe place, and my husband who could make our family laugh no matter what kind of day they were having. He had this quiet strength, the kind that made you feel like everything would be okay simply because he was there. Even in his hardest moments, he worried more about us than himself. That’s the kind of man he was.

Our family adored him. We were a very happily married couple. I looked up to him with a love and trust only a truly wonderful father can inspire. It breaks my heart that they will grow up without the comforting sound of his voice or the warmth of his hugs. I’m doing everything I can to be strong for me and my baby, but the reality is that we were not prepared for how quickly life can change.

Along with the emotional pain, we’re now facing heavy financial challenges — medical bills, funeral costs, and the sudden loss of the income he worked so tirelessly to provide. I never imagined I’d be in the position of asking for help, but I’m swallowing my pride for the sake of our child and the stability she deserve.
