Hello family, friends, and well-wishers. This is a GoFundMe for Aiden Brodbeck to help him and his family through a tough time. Aiden has experienced multiple scary life-changing medical diagnoses over the last year. It was recently discovered that he has congenital kyphosis, which is a spinal defect in the scoliosis family. This can be debilitating and cause real problems as he continues to grow. Unfortunately, the only treatment is a spinal surgery that will take him out of school for the remainder of his 7th grade year. There are real risks with this surgery, but we are hoping and praying for the best outcome so he can go forward to live his best life to his fullest potential. He has some pretty amazing aspirations for his future that could be hindered by his health challenges.

We are seeking support from his community and beyond by allowing his family to be by his side and provide for him while he recovers. Our hope is that by providing him with the funds to face this challenge, he will be able to access the resources he needs while easing the financial burden that comes with the seriousness of this surgery.

Meeting our fundraiser goal will allow Aiden’s parents to stay home to comfort and care for him through this challenging time. The proceeds will go to improving his quality of life at home for the next several months after the surgery since he will have many restrictions until he is fully recovered. Not being in school, Aiden will need his parents’ full attention to help him get through his online homework and be prepared for eighth grade.
