On the night of November 1, 2025, at 11:10 p.m., tragedy struck when a devastating house fire tore through the Hakobyan family’s home — leaving behind heartbreak, loss, and unimaginable pain.
When Sargis Hakobyan, the devoted father and husband, heard what was happening, he didn’t hesitate for a moment. He rushed to the burning home and heroically broke through a window before firefighters could even arrive. In the chaos and smoke, Sargis managed to pull one person with severe burns to safety and help four others escape through the back. His courage saved lives that night — but came at a tremendous cost. Sadly, two lives were lost that night.
After ensuring everyone he could help was safe, firefighters noticed Sargis struggling to breathe and urged him to go to the hospital. There, doctors discovered that he had suffered severe smoke inhalation and cyanide poisoning. To protect his lungs and give his body a chance to heal, he was placed in a medically induced coma.
His wife, Gayane, also suffers from serious health issues and is now focused on supporting Sargis’s recovery while managing her own. Their daughter, Angelina, is trying to stay strong for both of her parents during this difficult and uncertain time.
The family has lost nearly everything — their home, their belongings, and their main source of income. Yet, even in the face of this tragedy, their hope remains unbroken.
Sargis’s courage saved lives that night. Please consider donating, sharing their story, and keeping the Hakobyan family in your thoughts and prayers as they begin the long road to healing. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference.
