Donate to Aid Socorro Ruiz's Cancer Treatment

Hello, we are the Ruiz family. We are in need of donations to help my father, Socorro Ruiz, battle cancer. He started three months ago to feel bad. He started feeling nauseous and had bad stomach pains. He could not keep anything down, like food or liquids. He started to lose a lot of weight, which was concerning. We took him to the doctor, and immediately they started to test him for stomach, pancreatic, and colon cancer. All the testing came back normal. Yet he continued to keep losing weight and feeling nauseous. After two and a half months of trying to figure out what was wrong, our family got hit with the diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer. Doctors told us he is not a candidate for surgery anymore because of how critical his health is. We are in a race against the clock, working hand in hand with a nutritionist and oncologist to help him gain weight in two weeks so he can start his first chemotherapy. Three months to now, we have spent a lot of money on medical bills, diapers, feeding tubes, Ensures, medications, and ambulance rides to transfer him to different hospitals. Our family has to come up with $3,500 or more every 24 hours, depending on medication or the specialist seeing him. In Mexico, there is no such thing as health insurance; everything is out of pocket and paid before they treat you, unfortunately. He is very important to everyone in our family and is such a character, and now seeing him suffer day by day hurts our hearts so much. Before he stopped being able to talk to us, he said he will fight this cancer till he can and stay strong. He truly is fighting like a warrior.
