Hi everyone, my name is Enrique, and this GoFundMe is on behalf of my absolutely amazing boyfriend, partner in crime, and my better half : Seth.

Tuesday morning at 6 am, I had to take him to the ER for chest pain, trouble breathing, and extreme low back pain. Once there, they ran all sorts of tests and found out that he had a tension pneumothorax (collapsed lung causing pressure in the chest that moves his heart). They’re trying to figure out the exact cause of the infection that caused the lung collapse.

After all day in the ER, they transferred him to the Cardio-thoracic ICU at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix.

This morning around 7:45, they took him back for surgery for a VATS procedure to remove a lot of the buildup and pus in the lungs due to the chest tubes not working well enough. They anticipate the surgery taking around 2-3 hours and will keep us updated. His parents flew into town, and we are all with him.

They anticipate him being intubated when he is out of surgery for a couple of days and expect him to stay in the ICU for a week and a half to two weeks at minimum.

A) cover time off caused by having to be hospitalized.

C) Allow Seth the ample time he needs to recover and not have to rush back to work for our bills.
