Hi everyone,

I'm writing this with a heavy heart, on behalf of Seth, My best friend — someone who is more like a brother to me. Just a few days ago, he was involved in a tragic, head-on collision that has turned his life upside down. He is currently in the ICU in critical but stable condition, fighting harder than he ever has.

Since the accident, he has already undergone multiple surgeries and remains intubated and unconscious. Each day has been a rollercoaster of fear, hope, and heartbreak for everyone who loves him. We don’t know what the road to recovery will look like yet — but we do know it will be long, painful, and expensive.

Right now, the last thing his family should have to worry about is how to pay for medical bills, ongoing care, personal bills and the many unforeseen costs that come with a situation like this. That’s why we’ve created this GoFundMe — to support him in any and every way we can while he fights to heal.

Whether it’s helping cover medical bills, hospital stays, rehab, or just making sure his family can be by his side without the weight of financial stress — every single donation will make a difference.

If you can’t give right now, please consider sharing this campaign or keeping him in your thoughts and prayers. He’s strong, but he needs all the love and support he can get right now.

Thank you so much,
Sydney

Seth Update #1 9.29.25

He had a really rough night.
• He was super anxious but wouldn’t really come awake for long.
• When he did wake up it seemed he wanted to talk or write something, but couldn’t get it out before he fell asleep again.
•The had to put him back on mostly the vent bc his heart rate would sky rocket bc he was getting frustrated he couldn’t communicate. They need his hr and BP to be even tempered for the surgery.
•They had to redo his A line- it’s like a big iv - took them 2 freakin hours! Like seriously?!?!
•He’s still making urine. That’s very good. And his creatinine and potassium levels are also very good.
•He’s still on the dialysis- will hear from nephrology today abt him coming off.
•All his numbers as dar as that go look good.
• The dis a Bronchoscopy this am checking for pneumonia. Ventilator pneumonia is a thing. Takes abt 48 hrs to come back.
•There is a small cloudy spot in one of his lungs. That’s why they’re checking along with the low grade fever.
•If he does well post op they may extubate him. Playing it by ear rn.
•They just took him down to surgery- praying the are able to close him up today!

Seth Update #3 9.29.25

He just got back from surgery- he did great!
•His nurse came in and briefed abt that.
•They were able to close him up.
•They’re starting the antibx.
•They are gonna see how long he needs the vent working for him (while he’s coming out of anesthesia) the switch it to cpap again- he’ll be doing his own breathing.
•If he does well, they may extubate him.
•Theure going to check his kidney function in the next hour ish and if his numbers are still good for that- they’ll take him off dialysis!
•He has a small drain (temp) coming out of where his spleen used to be- they want to make sure the pancreas (close proximity to where spleen was) doesn’t have any problems- if it does, they’ll be able to treat it through the drain.
•His stomach is still bruised but looks much better.
•His colon is very full (they’ve been tube feeding him for a couple days now- they’ll start that again today too. ) so they need to get his bowels moving.
•He’s still got a long long way to go- but this was the biggest hurdle!
I’m so so very thankful!!
