Donate to Aid Sean Reel’s Long Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On Friday at 4 PM, I received a phone call from Amanda Reel. She was hyperventilating, and I immediately knew something was wrong. She finally got the words out, “Sean has been in an accident.”
Sean was with friends for the weekend in Temecula for a birthday campout. Dirt bikes, grilling food, and enjoying the outdoors.
Amanda didn’t know much, but what she did know was pretty scary. Sean went for a solo ride on his dirt bike. This is something he has done many times before. He is an avid two-wheel enthusiast and very experienced.
At some point after he left, a friend arrived at the campsite and said that he saw paramedics and an ambulance down on the road. Apparently, somebody had gotten hurt. It was Sean. A jogger was passing by and found Sean unconscious in a ditch.
Sean's injuries are beyond significant.
7 broken ribs, lumbar fracture, C6 fracture in the neck, 2 compression fractures in the mid-back, and both his clavicle and scapula are fractured.
Miraculously, the only good news is that he still has his mobility, but he has a very long road ahead of him.
I’m starting a GoFundMe just to help with medical expenses and any immediate basic needs. Amanda's job is 100% commission. She will take leave in order to help him recover which will immediately impact their financial situation.
Please, please take a moment just to donate anything. And if there is any other way that you would like to help, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
