"On October 23, I walked into the hospital with a 104-degree fever and a small abscess. Two weeks later, I woke up on November 6 in Bangor, Maine, 200 miles from my home, with no memory of what happened in between.
When I regained consciousness, I was told I had developed a severe bedsore on my right side, hip, and buttock, as well as kidney failure, requiring dialysis and a temporary port in my neck.
As of today, I've spent 80 days in the hospital, undergone five operations, and miraculously recovered from kidney failure. My third surgery brought unexpected good news: my kidneys started functioning again, eliminating the need for a permanent port.
I'm now able to walk with assistance and receiving wound care 3-4 times daily. Hospital release is contingent on reducing wound care to 2 times daily.
I'm humbly asking for donations to support my recovery and future. Any contribution, big or small, would be a blessing. If donation isn't possible, your prayers would mean the world – I've witnessed their power firsthand.
My hospital stay has come with additional challenges: I lost my home due to unpaid rent and currently rely on hospital Wi-Fi, as I couldn't afford my phone bill. I've applied for disability, but the average processing time is 220 days.
Thank you for your support, prayers, and understanding. I'm grateful and thankful to be alive. God bless."
