As many of you know, Florida was just hit by Hurricane Milton. It made landfall in Siesta Key and worked its way northeast, wreaking havoc along its path with some of the worst damages and highest winds felt here in St Petersburg. On its way through the state, it tore through Pinellas County, where I own and operate a Senior Helpers home care agency providing assistance to many elderly clients and employment to numerous caregivers.
In the aftermath, we’ve had a lot of damage to our caregivers' homes. There are tens of thousands of homes still without power and many downed trees and flooding blocking roadways for our caregivers to get to work. The power is still down at our office and so our office staff has been working remotely as best as possible from their homes, even though many are still without power.
Not only are some of our caregivers dealing with property damage, but many have lost their income since they aren’t able to get to work.
All of the funds will be used to help our caregivers who have lost personal property and to help provide paychecks to those that are unable to work.
Now is the time to help our caregivers so that they can get back on their feet and continue the amazing work that they do in helping our seniors.
Not only do we care about our clients, but we equally care about our caregivers and office staff!
Any additional funds left over will be used to help our community in general.
Thank you all for your help, every gift helps no matter how small.
Please help us help those who help our vulnerable seniors in Pinellas County. Thank you for your consideration and donations. They are very much appreciated.
