Introduction:

My name is Muhtasim Ahmed, and I am asking for help from the Al-Assar family. As the devastation of the war in Gaza is ongoing, we can imagine the horrible hardships families and individuals are experiencing currently. I am reaching out to you, the free people of the world, to help a family whose life has been destroyed by the ongoing conflict.

Nouraldin Al-Assar, known as Noor, is from the city of Rafah. He is 21 years old and studied Computer Engineering at the University of Al-Azhar before the war began. He had a year left and was hoping to finish his education. Unfortunately, the university was destroyed due to the war. Noor hopes to raise funds to help his family stay and survive in Gaza. They have been living under Israeli bombardment and blockades since October 2023. Like the vast majority of Palestinians in Gaza, Noor's family do not have the financial means to spend on basic needs to survive for as long as the bombardment continues: food, water, rent, medicine, clothes, transportation and more.

Context

Noor and his family were displaced from the east of Rafah to the west (Tel Al-Sultan). They were displaced from the city of Rafah to the city of Deir Al-Balah. Then, their house and commercial shops were destroyed, depleting their income supply. His family, consisting of 17 people, including five displaced children, lives on the rooftop of a house in the city of Deir Al-Balah..

His two older brothers, two sisters-in-law, and their children have all recently succumbed to injuries.

His brother is currently suffering from a concussion, and he needs medical treatment. His mother suffers from gland problems and needs constant medication to feel relief. Thankfully, to God and other generous donors, he managed to purchase a tent for his family; however, both of his married brothers, their wives and their children need tents to solidify their right to shelter as their homes in Rafah are destroyed. It will be a means for them to survive during the harsh climate that is to come. With your generous donations, Noor can purchase milk and pampers for his nieces and nephews. He intends to help his married sister, who lives in Musi, Khan Younis, by also buying food for survival.

Future Plans

In addition, with your generous donations, Noor intends to evacuate his family from Gaza to help rebuild the lives of his family members and complete his education. The most important thing is getting them out of Gaza into a safe place, and the evacuation from the Gaza Strip to Egypt is expensive and costs around $5000 per person to cross the borders.
