Hi everyone, my name is Laura and I'm reaching out to share Miguel Leguizamo's story, beginning around the time when we first met. About two years ago, I began working at a hotel, and to say the least, it was a challenge to navigate. Fortunately, Miguel supported me throughout the day. He gave me reassurance in my capabilities, gave me a reason to smile, and even brought me some of my favorite snacks. When we worked together he always took care of me and everyone else there but he also worked really hard at his job. He is an older gentleman yet he worked relentlessly.

We both are Colombian, and I am currently away from my family, so Miguel has taken up this father-figure role in my life. He has supported me in many ways, most of all, he inspires me to pursue life with passion and kindness like he does.

Now, Miguel is combatting through challenging hardships. He fell ill and suffered complications due to his diabetes, placing him out of work for a few months. A lot of medical bills and monthly outstanding payments have piled up, and will continue to do so, unless we help Miguel. I want to make sure that he will be able to pay his rent and have enough money to cover his medication and hospital visits. My coworkers and i have taken it upon ourselves keep him afloat the past few weeks but it has become hard for us to continue to support him financially. We would greatly appreciate any contribution to help Miguel.
