Michael is only 13 years old.

He had surgery on Friday 6/6/2025 to fix his right foot and everything went well. Until Tuesday night 6/10/2025 when he started vommting and having diarrhea.

His mom and step dad thought that it was just a 24 hour bug but by Thursday 6/12/2025 he was still lethargic and was rushed to Connecticut Children's Medical Center. His liver enzymes were over 12,000 and he could not hold anything down. They pumped his stomach and gave him 2 IVs, one in each arm.

On Monday 6/16/2026 he was rushed over by ambulance to Boston Children's Hopsital for a possible liver transplant. He has been seen by all kinds of different specialists and they are all working together to find out what he needs. His liver numbers are still going down.

The family does not have a reliable car to go back and forth to Boston and they are currently living out of a motel. The financial struggles have piled up and are making it even harder to take care of Michael.

UPDATE Monday 6/23: For the last week Michael's liver numbers have been heading in the right direction. He beat pheumonia and is feeling better. He still has a long roas to a full recovery and is grateful for all teh support.
