On October 26, 2025, Merardo was involved in a severe car accident that left him with critical injuries. He was flown from Yuma to Phoenix for emergency treatment and was in the ICU fighting for his life. The road to recovery is long and challenging, as he suffered brain trauma, broken ribs, a punctured lung, multiple facial fractures, and fractured a crititical bone in his neck.

Merardo is not only a devoted father to his two daughters, but also a cherished family member and friend. He’s always been hardworking and willing to help others. As he faces this lengthy recovery and is unable to work, we’re asking for support. Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference, even if it's just keeping him in your prayers.
