Update 2/21:

It is a sad day today. With heavy hearts Ryan and Kayla had to make the humane and heartbreaking decision to stop Mav’s pain and suffering. Not only was he not looking better but his condition kept getting worse. If you don’t hear from them today they are just trying to breathe and be there for eachother.

Although this isn’t what we were hoping for I still urge anyone and everyone to help out with the bills left behind. Thank you all for sticking by the family during this heart wrenching time.

Friends near and far, please help with this sweet boys recovery. Kayla and Ryan’s dog Maverick has been in and out of the ER vet since 2/13, first going in for vomiting and lethargy and since has had multiple negative symptoms that have been difficult to manage. On the 5th day of being at the hospital he was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis and megaesophagus.

As I am writing this he is again going back to the ER. Poor Mav is so sick and having such a difficult time right now.

If you have a furry friend and have ever had to go to the emergency vet you know how easily the bills pile up. He is insured through a different pet hospital but wasn’t able to be seen by them soon enough due to his condition being so serious.

Even if it’s a dollar EVERY little bit helps and Mavs parents and skin brothers are extremely grateful for any help we can provide. Let’s cushion this family as they help Maverick on his path to recovery.
