My mama is in desperate need of help. A lot of things remain unknown, but she has advanced liver disease as well as a blood disorder that continues to destroy her blood and platelets at an alarming rate. This disease is brutal and heartbreaking to witness. Working is no longer an option. Due to the rapid deterioration of her blood cells her cognition, motor abilities, and ability to conduct daily tasks independently has been severely diminished. My mother is single, unemployed and without medical coverage. We are still awaiting treatment options and official diagnosis from the hematologist and oncologist team.
