My name is Stacy King and I'm Lindsay's sister-in-law.

On Friday, November 28th, Lindsay and Lilliana were running errands when Lindsay experienced a medical emergency while driving, resulting in an accident and serious injuries to both. Thankfully, no other vehicles or people were involved in the crash and both ladies are alive, but this will be a life-altering event and the family will need swift support from their friends, family, church, and community.

Lilliana sustained a broken ankle, a couple of compressed vertebrae, and gashes on her head. She is able to get around with a wheelchair and has been released for now, but she will need to have surgery on her ankle.

Lindsay had to immediately go in for surgery for compound fractures to both of her legs and will have to have secondary surgeries on both legs later this week. She also has a broken nose, multiple broken ribs, and will have to have a full knee replacement. The medical emergency was confirmed to be a seizure when scans revealed a tumor in the thalamus of her brain. The doctor believes this tumor to be benign; however, they plan to perform a biopsy to confirm. She is being treated at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center and at this moment, there is no timeline for when she will be released.

As a teacher and a church leader, Lindsay is a pivotal part of her community. She is a tireless giver and has at every step of her life worked to help others, take care of the less fortunate, and do her part to make the world a better place. Her life trajectory was forever changed when she left her job in special education to rush to the aid of Louisianans after Hurricane Katrina. She spent years helping with flood cleanup and community support, and during that time, she met her future husband, Isaac, who had traveled to Louisiana for the same reason. They had five incredible children and together they have helped build churches, have been missionaries, have been consistently active in helping their community, and have made a giant impact in each place they have lived.

As a family of seven, suddenly having one earner unable to work and with the imminent influx of medical bills on their way, the financial stress is already mounting.
