On October 9, 2025 I got diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (cancer of the bone marrow). What started off as extreme stomach pain which was thought to be appendicitis, quickly turned into news that it was in fact a rupture of an ovarian cyst that had leaked blood into my stomach which was happening because of my life-threatening blood levels. The minimum blood platelet count of a healthy adult should be at least 150,000 and I was at 19,000 when admitted. If I had not gone to the hospital when i did, I would’ve likely not been lucky enough to have the outcome of having the chance to regain my health and continuing to get extensive care by all of the amazing doctors at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. I continue to be strong with the help of my loving family, friends, boyfriend and lovely people all around me. This has been a very painful time and donating would mean so much to me but even If you are unable to, a share would mean the absolute world. Thank you so much.
