On March 28, 2025, an extremely powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Burma (Myanmar) and Thailand. The rising casualty numbers by the next day were 1000 lives lost, and countless more destroyed. Bridges and skyscrapers toppled, and people lost housing, family members, and their livelihoods in a matter of moments.
LaMin Aung, an incredible Pre-K educational assistant at Prodeo St. Paul, is from Burma and her family still lives in Mandalay near the epicenter of the earthquake. LaMin's family's home has been completely destroyed from the earthquake. My name is Laura Pancoast and I am a Special Education Teacher at Prodeo and have joyously worked with LaMin over the last couple of years. Please consider sending whatever funds you are able to be generous with so that she can help support them as they recover and eventually rebuild.
For currency conversion reference, 1 USD = approximately 4400 ks. We are hoping to raise enough money to help LaMin's loved ones with whatever their needs may be during this time. Thank you for your compassion and giving beyond yourselves.
