My name is Kenrick Green, originally from St. James, Jamaica, and I now live in the United States. Even though I am far from home, my heart is still with my family and community in Catherine Hall, Norwood, Salt Springs and the surrounding areas of St. James.
Hurricane Melissa brought severe flooding and strong winds, leaving behind devastating damage. Many homes — including those of my own family members, friends, and neighbors — were badly damaged or destroyed. Families have lost roofs, furniture, clothing, and other essentials, and some are struggling just to find food, clean water, and shelter.
While I am currently in the U.S., I am coordinating with family and friends on the ground in Jamaica to make sure all funds raised go directly toward helping those most affected. These funds will provide emergency supplies, repairs to damaged homes, and support for families who have lost everything.
This cause is very personal to me — it’s about helping my loved ones and my community recover from this disaster and rebuild their lives with hope and dignity.
Please donate and share this campaign to support the people of St. James, Jamaica, as we work to rebuild together.
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a real difference.
Thank you for your love, generosity, and prayers.
