Hello my name is Kayla Raymer, and I am trying to help my mother with some financial assistance.
As many people may know, my mother was diagnosed with triple negative stage 3 breast cancer in 2012 and she battled that for 2 years and beat it. Then came March 2023 she lost her home and all belongings to a fire leaving her homeless, then my grandma, her mother passed away exactly 1 month later. As we move forward, there has been a lot of medical issues with grandchildren. Here we are 2025 and again, she went to er for sinus infection that caused strep & staph infections. A week later a pulmonologist called her and said that she needed to be seen. Not having any idea of what was going on except she knew she had copd, they found a nodule on her left upper lung, doing a biopsy to find out yet again another form of more aggressive cancer (SCLC). Small cell lung cancer, they put her port in and started treatment right away, 2 weeks of targeted radiation, and then on to chemo. As things progressed more and more health issues have popped up. The cancer was 1 nodule only, has not spread and is responding to the chemo and now she is doing immunotherapy. A few hospital stays several er visits, they have scheduled so many Dr appointments, specialist appointments such as ENT, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, pulmonology, pain management, Cardiology, as she has an aortic iliac bypass in her abdominal aorta. Now she is dealing with skin issues, chemo brain, pleurisy, and diabetes with her blood sugar numbers reaching 400. She is now full force diabetic on insulin and Dexcom monitor. She went from working a full-time job 40-50 hours a week to just disability. The struggle is real, has to eat certain foods, tons of testing and medications. If anyone could help in anyway, prayers, a share, or any financial contribution that would be helpful. As my sister and I try to help, it's almost impossible. The burden has overwhelmed her and she is buying her home and just sinking as we all know disability doesn't make things easy. She will use any donations for bills and household things she needs and some medications that her insurance does not cover. Again, any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you all!!!
