Hi friends,

On the morning of October 20th, my brother was in a life-threatening motorcycle accident in Tijuana, Mexico, where he lives. While heading home, he was struck by a car and thrown from his bike — then ran over by another vehicle. The impact caused severe injuries and left him in critical condition.

He’s been in the ICU at General Hospital Tijuana since the accident. Though he’s currently on a breathing tube, he’s stable and fighting hard to recover. His injuries include a broken arm (requiring surgery and likely a prosthetic), punctured lung and a fractured skull which has caused a brain hemorrhage.

I am beyond grateful that the cost of medical treatment in Mexico is a fraction of what it would be in the U.S. But the travel costs (we've had to fly an interpreter as well), and coordination costs for my family are adding up quickly on top of medical treatment.

Immediate costs that we currently need support for include:

Shoulder surgery and prosthetic arm and ongoing hospital fees, medication, and further travel.

This fundraiser will allow me to continue supporting my brother and our family directly, ensuring he gets the care and stability he needs during recovery.
