Donate to Aid Jordan's Recovery and Family Needs

Hello, and thank you for visiting Jordan’s GoFundMe site. My name is Kaye, and Jordan is a young woman I greatly admire for her positive attitude, beautiful smile, intelligence and love of family. However, most of us can probably remember a time when we were overwhelmed by the surprises and the demands life had given us. Such is the case for Jordan and her family. Supporting a family of 3 children, ages 9, 4, and 3 months, plus 2 adults, while also dealing with serious medical problems is difficult on 2 incomes. It becomes even more difficult when circumstances reduce that income to one only wage earner, and impossible when there is no regular income.
In 2024, life was normal for Jordan and her family. Both she and her husband. Brandon, had full-time jobs and were able to meet their financial obligations. However, when Jordan began to suffer from severe headaches things began to change. She went to Carle Hospital where she was told she had a Benign Vestibular Schwannoma, a brain tumor that was attached to her brain stem and, without surgery, it would continue to grow. Not only was this news frightening but it also meant that financially the family would face financial difficulties since Jordan would have no income for the 10 days she was in the hospital and the weeks of recovery before she was allowed to return to work.
Jordan survived, the family recovered, and by 2025, things were beginning to return to normal. Both Jordan and her husband were working full time and financially they were making progress. Jordan was pregnant and went on maternity leave in April after the birth of her son, meaning the family was back to one income. Suddenly, in May, her husband lost his job. There was no income! It would be 6 weeks before Brandon was able to find another job and 2 more weeks before he would receive a paycheck. Meanwhild, Jordan’s headaches returned. She decided to change doctors and go to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis but delayed scheduling an appointment because there was no extra money for a trip to St. Louis. Although the the headaches continued, Jordan waited until Brandon was working full time and she was off maternity leave to make that call. The specialist there confirmed that she must have a second surgery which is scheduled for September 19th. This time the procedure will be more extensive, will take longer and it is not known how long she will be in the hospital and how long she will need for recovery before she can return to work. In addition, there is a possibility she may have to have additional treatments after the surgery. Brandon will be with her in St. Louis as much as he can be.
The last thing Jordan and Brandon need to be concerned about right now is how they are going to pay their bills, feed their children, get 2 of them ready to start school and have the finances to get back and forth to St. Louis as needed. So, I am asking you to consider making a donation to help this family survive this financial challenge. We all have had a time in our lives when we needed a helping hand. That time has come for Jordan and her
family. Every donation will be greatly appreciated and will make a huge difference to the Devall family. We also ask that you share Jordan’s story with friends and family, with your Facebook friends, and with anyone else you can think of. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart .
