My sweet Jasper recently came down with an episode of Vestibular Dysfunction..
I was just about to leave for work Monday morning, when I heard him all over my living room, sort of scattering around.
I got out of the shower to find him pressed into the couch, unable to move..
I panicked, figured maybe he needed to get outside, so I brought him out.
Only to watch him sputter around and fall behind our trash cans :(
I picked him up, called my father who told me he would meet me at the emergency vet clinic. They put Jasper on a stretcher, and brought him back. I have never cried so much in my entire life.
Luckily, vestibular disease in most cases hits older dogs like a wave, and goes away and never comes back. If not, something serious is underlying.
Jasper is home resting, making improvements, and looking better already.
If you are reading this, whether you plan to donate or not, please say a prayer for my Jasper.
Jasper and I have been rolling together since 2012 when I adopted him in South Lake Tahoe, California.
He has been on 9 cross country excursions by my side in the car, has made friends all over the map (dog and human)
If you have ever spent time with Jasper, I don’t even need to go on about how amazing this dog is. He is an absolute sweetheart.
Of course at the vet, I got hit with a bill. A bill that hit me hard. I honestly thought it would be more, but it’s still really a harsh debt for me..Along with missing work because Jasper can’t be left alone right now.
I appreciate your prayers for my special, sweet, one of a kind son.
Sincerely,
Daniel & Jasper
