Hello, my name is Ebony Carter. Yesterday on June 1, 2025 around 9 PM, I was bit by a friend's dog. The dog is a Dogo Argentino, a breed that requires lots of training and that is not recommended to be around small children. The dog first bit my hand and then my chest and torso. I was rushed to the hospital and given stitches in both my hand and my chest. I’m usually very good with animals but the dog is notoriously aggressive, and I’ve always stayed away from her, but I did not know she was in my friend’s house when I walked through the door. I was initially bit trying to go to the restroom as we were currently stationed in the pool.

It will take some time, at least a month, for my hand to heal, and I will have to worry about regaining function in my hand, specifically in my thumb, which is integral to hand function. I’m still in a world of pain and, at this time, I am unable to work and so unable to afford my monthly expenses, which include medical care and medication, rent, daycare, groceries, etc. Please donate what you can.
