Hello Everyone,

My siblings and I are trying to raise funds for my mother Dung Kim Thai who was involved in a car accident in south Florida on April 18th, where she was hit by someone who ran through a red light.

Sadly, the person’s insurance was minimal, so my mom is now not able to work (she is a full-time nail technician and requires her hands for work) to support herself and my two younger siblings living with her for the months to come. Medical and personal bills are starting to pile up.

My mom underwent surgery for her wrist and hand due to sustaining broken bones and severe nerve damage from the wreck.

This is her livelihood and now has been impacted for many months to come with physical/occupational therapy as well to get her hand back to prior level of function.

My mom has worked hard all her life and still has my two little siblings at home, one 10 years old and one 17 years old. All her hard work, determination, and strength throughout the years have been able to put her other children (including myself) in college through loans and scholarships. Through perseverance over the years, my mom has taught us what it’s like to work hard, to be resilient, and to love one another no matter what stage in life we may be in. She often has a hard time asking for help and often feels guilty doing so.
