Hi everyone,

I’ve never done something like this before, but thought it might be really beneficial for our family. As some of you know, my mom Cheryl had a complication after an endoscopy that’s left her physical health in a completely different place. On 8/22 she was rushed into emergent surgery and now has several drainage tubes, abdominal incisions, etc. that are pretty painful for her, which has extremely limited her physical abilities for the time being.

Having said that, she is the full-time caregiver of our grandma. This requires her to be very physically active helping take care of her (dressing, bathroom, etc.) which normally is okay, however due to this complication she will not be able to participate in these activities. My sister and I have been alternating taking care of our grandma but other than that, the option is hiring private aids to keep her home with us which is the priority. We have a CNA that comes to the house a few times a week to help out but not nearly as much as what will be needed when mom returns home.

Several people have reached out asking how they can help. Im asking my friends and family and anyone that feels compelled, to donate to this fund to help my family pay for private aid services for my grandma while my mom heals. It probably will be a month or two before she will be back to where she was, physically. She will have very strict activity restrictions. My sister and I have to work full-time and we are both also in graduate programs so we can only help so much, unfortunately. It takes a village to help a family member and our village is on fire right now. Any support is extremely appreciated and very much welcomed. Thank you. ❤️
