Hi everyone!

I have started this Go Fund Me for my brother David, affectionately known as, Boojie. Boojie was taken by ambulance to the emergency room last Thursday. Shortly upon arrival, he was intubated. Boojie was then transferred to the hospital, where he has continued to be sedated in the ICU. All we know right now is that Boojie's heart is weakend and working at approximately 35%. Boojie had been experiencing some terrible symptoms and side affects and that is what led him to the ER. The doctors are trying to wean him off of sedation meds so that they can safely extubate him. He has had periods of agitation, as would anyone under these circumstances. I have been there every day, telling him how much everyone cares and giving him everyone's prayers and best wishes. The doctors need Boojie off of the breathing tube so that they can get a clearer picture and further evaluate his health to find out exactly what happened and the next course of action. Recently Boojie has gotten his own apartment and has been working hard at having his own place. For all those that know my big brother, you know how important and exciting this was for him. Boojie works full time, walking to and from work, every day, this is also hard on his body, he does not drive. We all know that Boojie is a private person and doesn't like to ask for help, well, he isn't, I am. I do not want my big brother to wake up from this nightmare and worry about how much work he has missed or how he is going to pay his bills. He is going to have a long road to recovery and that isn't easy when you are stressed and dont have insurance to help with any of it. I am asking family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and any other good, kind people to please send prayers and well wishes as we do not yet fully know what he is up against.
