Donate to Aid Baby Eevee's Recovery and Family Care

Hello everyone.
Recently, my sister Nicole Hercules-Provence and her husband Alex Hercules-Provence welcomed their first baby girl into this world: Evelyn Hercules-Provence (Eevee for short).
During the delivery, my sister experienced some very serious complications that lead to a need to perform an emergency C-Section in order to save both my sister's and Evelyn's life. Due to these medical complications, Eevee unfortunately experienced Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) due to a temporary lack of oxygen to her brain.
For those who do not know, Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) is a type of newborn brain damage caused by oxygen deprivation and limited blood flow. Other terms used for HIE include birth asphyxia, perinatal asphyxia, and neonatal encephalopathy.
Because Eevee has experienced HIE, large portions of her brain are no longer functional and there is a strong likelihood that she will experience developmental disorders as she grows older.
Due to the above, Eevee was and has been monitored by the NICU at her hospital. At first, doctors felt that she would not be likely to survive and would need to be on a feeding tube for the rest of her life.
However, despite tremendous odds, Eevee has been making excellent progress! So far Eevee has managed to pass her hearing test, add more forumla to her diet, and is even starting to yawn and cry! She also managed to pass her initial birthweight after the emergency C-Section!
Meanwhile, Nicole has been dealing with her own recovery as well. After the emergency C-Section, Nicole needed to have her gallbladder removed, have a bile pump put in, got COVID, and had to stay in the perinatal hospital unit at the hospital for three weeks.
For the next few weeks, Nicole will be recovering and seeing specialists in order to complete her outpatient care while Alex helps Eevee complete her hospital care and begin to see the necessary specialists that she will need to see outside of the hospital (Neurologists, physical therapists, etc.).
Given all of the above (and everything that will follow), Nicole, Alex, and Eevee have needed and will continue to need a tremendous amount of medical care; even with insurance, this is going to be extraordinarily expensive given the current state of healthcare in this country.
If you are able to donate anything to help the Hercules-Provence family during this challenging time, please feel free to do so here. All proceeds will go to Nicole and Alex to spend directly on Nicole and Evelyn's ongoing care and medical needs.
