Hello friends! I am with my son Avi who is currently in ICU at Memorial Hospital North. We have just discovered that at 18 and autistic, Avi has been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, just before his birthday September 27. He also is being treated for Pancreatitis along with his Diabetic "crash".

It's been stressful and worrying to say the least. I have heard nightmares about how expensive insulin treatments cost. On top of that I'm currently going through a very expensive divorce and I don't know how I'm going to make it all work with hospital bills on top of that. I'm trying to stay strong. I know God has always been on my side and I have great friends in my life that have helped and supported me through tough times. I can only keep faith and hope everything will work out. If anyone can help in any way, my family and I would be so grateful. All my energy right now is going into making sure my Avi is going to be okay and get through this like the fighter he is.
