Donate to Aid Atlas's Recovery

Hi everyone,

Many of you know my brother Chris and his wonderful wife Anastasia. They recently got married, and we spent the most beautiful day celebrating them! If you didn’t know, Chris and Anastasia adopted a beautiful dog named Atlas in 2021! Atlas is a Great Pyrenees, who is goofy and full of life. He is super picky with his food and loves walks. Shortly after their wedding Chris had noticed Atlas was acting strange, later capturing a video of him having what appeared to be a seizure. They went to the vet and noticed an abnormality in Atlas’s heart. They were then referred to a cardiologist who identified that Atlas had A-fib, in his left atrial wall and his side was enlarged. Atlas was started on 5 medications and was provided a check up date in 3 weeks. They were told that if the medications didn’t work he would require a pacemaker/surgery. On top of this news, a few days later Christopher noticed Atlas was unable to walk and thought he had a stroke. A trip to an emergency vet led to a diagnosis of Vestibular Disease which causes constant vertigo/dizziness. After another trip to the cardiologist who sent them to another ER(in the same day), Atlas was kept over night for several tests and treatment.

We are keeping this amazing little family in our thoughts and are hopeful Atlas will recover soon, but in addition to the stress of the illness, the vet bills have been significant and have added a lot of financial burden to an already stressful time. We are doing what we can to help Chris and Anastasia through this time and encourage anyone to donate whatever they can in effort to help pay some of the vet bills. Thank you so much!
