Donate to Aid Asheville's Post-Hurricane Relief
Donation protected
Nick and I are hoping to raise a bit of money so we can help friends and neighbors weather the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. We live just outside Asheville and the bridge to our neighborhood was washed away leaving hundreds of people with limited access to the outside world. Given the broken bridge, we will likely be without running water, power, internet or much cell service for weeks. We also have friends who live in other towns that were harder hit than us or whose livelihoods were totally destroyed by the flooding.
We've already bought two Starlinks for satellite internet, walkie talkies, and batteries. We'd like to continue making ad hoc purchases for people in our community on an as needed basis including food, water, equipment, medical supplies, gasoline, rent/hotels, flights, etc. Funds provided here will allow us to help our community on the ground in Asheville and the surrounding areas.
If you are inspired to support our community and neighborhood, thank you! However, you may also wish to support broader recovery efforts and/or donate to a tax deductible 501c3. I have heard many first hand reports of the incredible work that Beloved Asheville is doing on the ground locally. You can donate to them here: https://belovedasheville.com/get-involved/
