For 33 years, Liz and Corey Aquino have stewarded their land for Lanes End Farm. They have mentored many, shared their knowledge, and donated produce to community. Now, they need our support.
For the past 7 years, Liz Aquino battled cancer.
Their medical bills over that time are substantial. Towards her end of life, Liz's medical care had been full time and resulted in a build up of farm expenses on top of medical. She passed away in February.
The farm was first established for the family's health, but grew to provide for the region.
Liz and Corey built up the soil health, beneficial insects and sustainable practices so they would not have to use pesticides, even organic types. This is due to their personal experience with family who had negative health impacts from pesticide use in their community growing up. Their focus has always been on how their actions will affect future generations.
They have taken care of their land to provide for community for over 33 years. Liz’s legacy is profoundly felt and will continue to be for generations. Let's support them in their time of need. Whatever you can give is appreciated.
