I can't say much here other than that I am a defendant in a case involving our animal rescue efforts. I have no criminal history and no history of violence. A public defender would probably be able to handle my case, but I have decided to hire a private lawyer.

My work life has been set back a bit, which has also opened a gap in my income. I have rent coming up and other expenses and bills to catch up on. In short, I am turning to GoFundMe for help as a last resort. I am looking to raise $3K total. This is meant for paying my lawyer, any court fees, with the remaining going towards bills from loan payments, insurance, auto payment, and utilities.
